Re: ram

If you use XP, hit ctrl-alt-del and it is at the bottom of task manager below the applications/processes. It includes the virtual memory on your HD too.

If you are running 98/Me, goto Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Resource Meter. Your RAM usage is the top level (also in the system tray). If you want a more detailed read out. Choose System Monitor, from System Tools, and Add the items relating to memory.

Re: ram

On XP you actually look in task manager under the Performances tab. Just remember that the task manager itself will also consume ram, so the numbers will be inflated just a little. If you're running Win98, I would get rid of it. It doesn't perform well and you probably get a blue screen of death regularly. Go with Win2kPro or XPpro.
