Re: Willingham Or Weis??

Willingham should make an imediate impact because his going to be coaching in a weaker division, his only problems are going to be USC and Cal who have dominated tha Pac 10 the last few years. Weis is yet to prove himself as a head coach. Weis its taking over a ND team with a lot of talent but his inexperience as a head coach will show this upcoming season. I have no doubt his going to be a very successful head coach but his is going to need some time. Weis; however, will play in a BCS game before Willingham.

Re: Willingham Or Weis??

Maybe....maybe not. The coaching has allot to do with the "quality" of players you have. ND has allot of great players. You never know, good things may come out of ND.

Re: Willingham Or Weis??

The fact that Willingham can now go after JUCO (junior college) players gives him alot to work with. The Pac-10 seems to get stronger every year, and could bring more recruits to the Huskie team.
However, Weis does bring alot of excitement to ND. Winning two(maybe three) Super Bowl rings with N.E. could in fact spark kids interest in playing for the Irish.
I think ND has more talent as of now than Wash. But I also think Willingham can clean that corrupt program up and turn around his team.

First of all, Notre Dame doesn't play in any division; they are an independent, although they do schedule some pretty tough teams. Second of all, the PAC-10 is a very good conference; probably the third best conference in the nation, behind the SEC and Big-Ten. The PAC-10 has two of the top 5 teams in the country, as well as the defending (co)national champions. Willingham got a raw deal in South Bend and that faggot-ass school got what they deserved. I love how Meyer turned them down to go coach Florida and then Mariucci said "thanks, but no thanks". How far down on the list was Weiss?? They had to sign someone quick before they looked TOO stupid in the eyes of the nation. It just goes to show how arrogant and full of themselves that school is. If they don't win a Natl. Championship each year, they go cry to their mommies and fire the coach. I hope Willingham succeeds at Washington and kicks the crap out of Notre Lame if they ever face each other. :happycow:
