My old favorite in high school was Freddy Blassie. There was a gimmick going then where a wrestler name John "The Golden Greek" Tolos threw powder in Freddy's eyes nearly blinding him and keeping him out of action for months. Later, John shed his villian status and became revered. Freddy later became a manager after his fighting days were over of unpopular Russian wrestlers that always won, and everyone hated him. Such are the changing fortunes of wrestlers in this genre.

Anybody watching TNA? I couldnt believe I saw Kurt Angle with a beard and wearing a suit with a rose. He is part of some group called Main Event Mafia, along with wrestlers like Booker T, Samoa Joe, Kevin Nash, Matt Morgan, and Big Pappa Pump Scott Steiner..

Never saw TNA. I have the Sci-Fi (soon to be Sy-Fy) on a lot, so I sometimes catch ECW on Tuesday's. It's on now, all I know is Tommy Dreamer defended his title and most of the wrestlers on tonight are new to me.
