Holy hell... If we hadn't upset #6 Ohio State in OT last year, this woulda been the best game i'd ever been to...


Our last home game of the year, Northwestern was down by 13 to Iowa with around 3 minutes left. We drove quickly on their prevent D and scored a TD with around 2 minutes left... This made us feel a little better, but then we fucking recovered the onside kick... it was perfect... you can't take one better than that. Another minute or so later... we score to go ahead 28-27... stop them on their last posession, and win the game... WOW.

1/4 of the stadium had left... idiots

Now we're bowl eligible, and are gonna take down the Buckeyes next week at the Horse Shoe!!!!

I didn't get to see the game but heard about it.. nice finish! Ive learned never to leave any game untill the end.. been to a baseball game once when i was little, (just a local muskies game) and it was the bottom of the eighth, my father and I leave, we read in the paper that the fish scored 9 runs in the bottom of the ninth to win.. OMG!

gosh it sucks that i am gonna have to see sub's hopes and dreams be dashed on the walls of the shoe, its kinda heartbreaking really, but there is no hope for them in cbus

You must understand that being a Northwestern student, I am of well than above average intelligence. Combine that with being a big college football fan, and I know that we don't have a great chance at the shoe... That's ok though, we should finish the season at least 7-4 (with a win over Illinois in the final week), and be in the position to, like we do each year, to beat a team we should have no business in beating (OSU?).

Think about it... every year there is a team in college basketball that comes up as a cinderella story. If it weren't for our last seconds loss vs. Big 10 leading Penn State, we'd still be that team. A win over OSU would be amazing... and if our defense comes through in the clutch like they did this week, and in the second half against Michigan (a total of 3 FG allowed in the 2nd halves of our last two games) our offense can do their job and make things interesting.

Oh, and the Blue will salvage their season with a win over the Buckeyes in rivalry week.

Even if we lose, I should still have at least 4-5 OSU grads working underneath me some day... HA.
