So they are thinking about starting this in the next few years. Thoughts??

Bad, bad, bad idea. Baseball already is frowned upon about the time it takes to finish a game. You throw this into it and it will make it even longer.

Just think, every time there is a close play at a base, or even a questionable third strike called, they could go to replay.

My god, the purity of the game would be tainted even more! Let it be what it is. Umps make bad calls, but 99 percent of the time it goes both ways and evens out.

Maybe if they just used it for playoff games....shit even that would suck.

good and bad.. but im afraid it would be overly used.. maybe only allow 2 a game per team or something..

If they could figure out a system for limited use (such as the "challenges" in the NFL), it wouldn't be TOO bad. But baseball is one of those things where the tradition of the game has already been shit on. Adding instant replay seems like it would only add another possible controversial issue to it. And as kornut said, the game doesn't need to be any more tainted.

i dont think its a good idea especially because there are a lot of plays in baseball where the bad call would have left it open for more events to happen if that call werent made

they have plenty of umpires and refs to make sure that the call was correct to begin with and they are generally pretty accurate

On a side note, the Baltimore manager got thrown out for argueing that a Fould (by inches) was not a home run. And yet the reply (on TV) clearly showed it was FOUL!
he disagreed with all the officials that it was foul.

So you like to see pitchers that have no clue what they are doing try and hit, boring. Makes for more offense and more exciting to watch. The NL needs to go with the DH too. As for instant replay, no thanks. Half the fun in baseball is arguing over calls the next day at work.
