Posts: | High school junior wants to challenge the NBA rules
I was watching ESPN's "outside the lines" show last night and apparently there is this junior in high school that wants to enter the NBA draft when his jr. year is over. He is a 6-3 pg that can score but I think this is absurd. I dont care what Lebron, Kobe, or Garnett has done because I firmly think that the league should have the minimum age of 20 yrs old. These kids need to stop thinking about money and mature a little bit first. I dont care if they come from broken home and have no families because I didnt exactly live the glamorous life growing up either but I still put myself through college. It just pisses me off! :angryfire

I couldn't agree more. if they are talented enough to "make it in the NBA" then they should be able to wait.... build there stats, win some college games, meet the college babes... and as you said... GROW UP. The game will still be there. he may be a 6'3 pg, and he may be able to score... but look at his competition. he is playing against JUNIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL. not Kobe, or SHAQ, or the likes... show me the petition, and I am the first one to sign...

I mean, if you're that good, that you think you can make the NBA after your JR. year, then you're also good enough to get a full ride to any college you want. So pick the best one, and go win a national title. I think playing in the Final Four would be one of the most exciting things you could do. I don't know why anyone would pass up that opportunity. |
