All I know, sir_drinkalot, is I would have loved to hear your whining ass a few years back.

It's one thing to be proud of your team during a winning season, and another to be a good sport when your team is having a winning season.

You need to take a step back & be a good sport, else wise I assure you the only thing you will encounter once your favorite team (inevitably) loses a game, is ridicule.

just some friendly advice; take it or leave it.

personally, I would love the Pats to go insane this year only because I have Brady & Addai on my fantasy team...otherwise I could give two shits to Sunday about them.

By a few years back you must mean prior to '97? We've been pretty good since then even though Pete Carrol brought us down a couple pegs. But yeah..I hear ya. I happen to be having a pretty good time right now and i'm not ashamed of it. Times like this are fleeting and go by very fast. On top one year and all of a sudden your the Detroit Lions. Enjoy it while you can I say. And believe me.. I can take ridicule and have already primed myself for the enevitable. But while we are on the mountain top..may as well enjoy it,right?

Pats(8-0) have played opponents that are 24-34 as of now.. take away the 8 losses from the pats they are 24-26 (opps win % is .480)


Steelers(5-2) have played opponents that are 21-28 take away 2 wins and 5 losses from that we have 19-23 (opps win% is .452)


others that are doing well.. Green Bay (6-1) have played opponents that are 25-27 take away 6 losses and 1 win we have 24-21 (opps win % is .533)


Dallas(6-1) opponents are 22-32, take away 6 losses and 1 win we have 21-26 (opp win % is (.447)

Indy (7-0) opponents are 27-23 take away 7 losses and they we have 27-17 (opp win % is .614)



Therefore in conclusion Indy has played the toughest schedule so far to date. Then Green Bay, NE, Pitt and dallas..


Its just the #'s tho.. still got to preform each and every week.. But I think its going to be hell of a game and i know I will be glued to my seat!

s_d, I'm old...er...seasoned - so when I say "a few years back" I could be talking about the 90's, the 80's or even earlier LOL.

Hell I started following the Raiders back when I was a kid in the Stabler days if that adds any perspective. That should also clue you in that I have first hand experience with riding high in good seasons & being ridiculed in bad ones (like now).

Anyway looking at the latest odds on this game, the Pats are going in as 5.5 - 6 point favorites with an over/under of like 56.5 - 57 points and both teams are up & ready for this, so I think either way it goes, this game is going to be both close & exciting

Wow, you are old..um seasoned. Just like me. Stabler was one my favorite qb's growing up. Never a fan of Jack Tatum of course, and the phantom roughing the passer against Ray Hamilton but..you get my drift. Jim Plunkett the damn traitor.
But anyway todays game is being hyped to the point where even I cant take it anymore. Jeez, isn't there another game on the schedule?? This game cant possibly live up to the hype,can it?? go pats

He is a fucking douchebag. There is no comparison between the league now and the league then. In '72 they had a fourteen game season and no salary cap. I fucking hate the 'fins anyway.
