And what a 1st week it has been so far. Let's start with the most overrated (IMO) as of this morning with today and tomorrow left of this 1st week. Oklahoma, wow losing to TCU. I don't know if it was the TCU Defense or lack of an OU line and experience at QB. Either way it was a great win by the Horned Frogs.

Boise State...I said before the season started they were overrated and if they played some tough competition and UGA just beat them around like a chew toy. Fresno State should own the WAC this season.

UTn...They looked really bad against UAB. The Vols did not look like the #3 team in the nation, and the strong defensive effort given by UAB might have been the reason. However, they should have beat them worse than 17-10 in Knoxville.

Now as much as I don't like Notre Dame, I am anxious to see how they turn out by the end of the season. A good win over PITT will set this Irish Team up for their next game against @ Michigan which will definately be a test.

Speaking of Michigan, Northern Illinois would have been in this game had they not fumbled 90 times...sloppy play, and hard to watch.

The ACC did well for themselves with Clemson over Texas A&M which was a surprise to me, BC over BYU, GA Tech over Auburn, UVA over Western Michigan...These wins definately make up for the losses by Wake to Vandy and Duke to ECU.

Sorry this post is so long, and most won't read this, but I'm looking forward to tonights games, Louisville and Kentucky, and at 715 Virginia Tech and NC St.

Ok... I'm pissed. I went to the CU vs. CSU game on Saturday in Boulder. This was an AMAZING game. Like every game between these two in-state rivals, it's always close, and as it should be, CU pulled out the victory on a Mason Crosby 47yd field goal with 5 seconds left. This game was filled with great plays, BIG hits on both the offensive, and defensive sides of the ball, and along with the Clemson win over #17 Texas A&M and TCU's upset of Oklahoma, it was one of the three best games of the day...

And how much coverage did ESPN give it? None. It was broadcast on TNT because they have a contract with the Big 12. ESPN didn't even put the score in its BottomLine. It didn't mention it on SportsCenter. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THEM?! This was the best CU game I've ever been to. Hell, even the local Fox Sports channel spent 10 minutes of a 30 minute show talking about Texas's blowout win over Louisiana Lafayette (60-3, I believe), the entire show also talking about how the Big12 North has scheduled cupcakes? Two South teams are playing FAU, another played FIU... this is bullshit.

Why do people suck the dicks of every team in the South when the North, this year, has a legitimate chance of winning the championship game?

ESPN also has to pull their heads out of their asses.

Man, I honestly forgot all about that game, but you are right it was one of the best games of the day. ESPN is so full of shit, you can't really believe anything they say or do. They have a correspondent following USC all season....WTF is that?? All these commentators for espn are horny for usc to win the third ina row, which btw isn't really three in a row as we all know about the shared title

....anyways, sorry i even forgot about that game, the buffs and rams always have good games though.

Well, the Louisville-UK game today was a nailbiter! I never imagined the 'Cats would be able to match the Cards punch for punch, but they did. If they had not had a few key fumbles, they'd have won that game. It looks like either UK is gonna be better than most people think, or Louisville is gonna be worse than most people think.

And I agree, these so called college football "experts" need to remove theirs mouths from USC's dick, and maybe talk about some of the lesser known up-and-coming teams in the nation. Give the little guys a chance too!

I'm an Irish fan and it was awesome that the Charlie Weis era began with a great start! Looking forward to the game with Michigan this weekend...I'm being realistic that Michigan will probably win but hope the Irish give them a run for their money....Just want them to play way better than they have ever since Coach Holtz left the fold...
