Well Javon Walker and Grady Jackson ended their holdout's before they began, so thats good news in packerland. Not sure how the NFC will fair this year.

Wildcards go to Green Bay and Dallas

It's true about San Diego, but the problem isn't the Broncos. It's KC. Also, Bengals seem like a better bet for the other Wild Card. The Bills won't do much this year.

As far as the NFC, I'd be curious to know why you think Dallas will have the Wild Card over Carolina. And as much as I hate to say it, I'm not totally sold on my Packers making the playoffs this season. If somone decides to play quarterback in Detroit they have a good chance to do better than us. I'm actually a little scared that Da Bears will even beat us out. Our defense is fucked. Pure and simple.

And as far as those holdouts go, it's not over yet. They reported to camp, and thereby lost a lot of leverage, but they can still screw things up by refusing to play until they get new contracts. We can release Jackson for all I care, but we need Walker badly.

If I had to pick 3 teams it'd be the Steelers, Minnesota, and the Eagles. New England has a shot too. The Colts might be number 5 (that's a big "might"), but those other 4 have a much better chance of winning it. The Falcons and Chargers have easily as much of a chance as Indy.

Reason i think dallas will make it.. Parcells.. he is one of the all time great coaches.. Took crap and made em look decent. I think they will sneak in this year. Packers are a ? as well.. But im gonna pick em regardless cause they are my team and im not gonna root against em.

I think the whole NFC will be pretty tight this year.. Besides Philly there really isn't a team that stands out at all. Minnesota got some good defense this year but they didn't aquire, to my knowledge, anyone on offense.

I agree that the NFC will once again be a close race to see who gets into the playoffs. A lot of teams have improved themselves, but quite a few teams also have decided to ignore their needs and will remain sub-par (compared to their AFC brethren). Teams like the Rams, Seahawks, Packers, Giants and Saints really haven't done a whole lot to improve their needs (practically all of those revolve around Defense for the given teams).

Dallas has a good chance to go back to the playoffs. However, in order to do that, many younger guys are gonna have to step up, and some older guys are gonna have to prove they still have something left. But I suppose if anybody can whip them all back into shape, it'd be The Tuna.

And heres something I was talking with my buddies about earlier this week: Does it seem to you guys that, for the most part, the AFC teams are the ones with all the good defensive teams, and the NFC are the ones with all the good offensive teams?

Tuck Rule? that is in the past. SO what. NE has 3 SB's they have used skill and luck to win those. They deserve to have credit given.

It might be in the past but it is a very legit question. If that bogus call never gets made, who knows.....there might have been big changes to the team all around. Meaning maybe zero rings over the last 4 years. Think about it.

I don't discredit the Pats at all. Luck has everything to do with sports. But things could have been alot different.

Well, there's probably a thousand different possibilites that could have occured if the Tuck Rule never existed. But I do believe that once you learn how to win, you never lose that. And it undoubtedly helped them last year. Tough losses to Pittsburgh and Miami might have derailed some other teams, but the Pats have the mental toughness (that you get from winnning... a lot) that's needed to get beyond those types of games. I really think not winning that title could have made all the difference.

And if any team can break the "curse" of the Superbowl losers, it's Philly. They've got enough firepower, they shouldn't have to worry about a losing season. They'll be fine.

For this season, my only hope is that Mooch comes to his senses this year and dumps that "West Coast" shit and just throw the damn ball down the field. Our boys are too good at stretching the field, and Jones is too explosive for this to be a "Possession" offense like he had in San Fran. Run 'N' Gun baby! :happycow:
