I love the Packers, but even with Rodgers track record of getting injured, I wouldn't mind him being the starting qb. That being said, with Favre returning Monday, there is no way there can be a "competition" for the job and Rodgers beat out Favre for the position. I think Rodgers could come in and the Pack could contend for a NFC championship, but with Favre as qb, I am thinking more along the lines of Superbowl.

On a side note, I am happier to hear that Ryan Grant will be ending the hold out and will be in camp next week. IMO re-signing him was more important than dealing with all this Favre shit.

I think Farve is a Selfish person. I think he will suck this year. He did NOT produce the number's last year and showed his age and slower running as well less accurate passing.

He has the Records (all he stayed for) in wins and such.

I do know, I was glad to see MY Bronco's beat him for our 1st SB victory!!!

I love how the Packers made it a condition of the trade that if the Jets trade Favre to the Vikings the Jets would have to give the Packers 3 1st round picks LOL

I'm not sure Favre really asked for all the media attention that his un-retirement garnered. (quick note: how do you retire when you never miss a down of football??). To me, it looks like Favre is a guy that was pushed into retirement when he didn't really want to, simply changed his mind, and the media went nuts because his last name is Favre.

I can't really blame the guy for not wanting to quit the profession that he chose at this time. If you're a businessman, or whatever and you decide to retire, you can stay out for a number of years and decide you want to throw your hat back in the ring. In football, you only get one shot. If Favre decided not to play this year, there would be no coming back, no second chance. Especially at the "old" age of 38.

Umm..what? He did retire, there is video and audio proof of such. The previous year (or years) he held the Pack hostage by not telling them what he wanted to do.
This year, the Packers took him at his word and proceeded into the future, like they wanted and expected to do. Then and only then he decided he wasn't ready to take his ball and go home yet. Waah! Good luck in Green.
