Yes, the climate change treaty exists; voting for/against this treaty will occur during Obama's European trip to accept the Nobel Peace Prize. Personally, I haven't read this treaty; however, I haven't found any references to the treaty denying the speakers assertions. I'm unsure who Obama has appointed to attend the treaty ceremonies. Even if the treaty is signed, I believe the Senate must ratify the treaty (Article 6?). I'm unsure how many votes are needed to ratify a treaty; the Democrats (which support the trreaty) have approximately 60 votes. Please note, the US Constitution deems lawful any treaty which the government ratifies, irregardless if the treaty treads on US sovereignty.

You got a link to that treaty? Very good vid. I'll have to read up more about it before I draw my conclusions.

superstach, I'm unable to locate the proposed treaty or a framework for the treaty. The UN meeting for this is scheduled for December 6-18, 2009 in Copenhagen. I googled a few different ways and found meeting notices and several supporting organization announcements, but that was about it. I'll keep digging.

I don't know about the writer of this article, but it addresses your concerns. Although, I'd like to read the entire treaty, instead of just the two paragraphs he quotes as the important language. Global Warming - Salon.com

Thanks for the link Gen Cutter - But the links from it do not work. I have not found the treaty either, and that does bother me. No different then the damn health care bill - we do not get to know what it says, until after it is pushed through.

I wonder why it didn't work. Try this: http://www.salon.com/politics/war_ro...0/19/monckton/ The point of the article was that the sensationalized idea of a "world government" the guy was selling was baseless. He was misinterpreting the language of the treaty. I personally believe the great centers of power in the world do indeed have a one world government in mind for the future. Why not? Depending on their intentions, it could be a good thing for mankind...depending. But the language of the treaty, as shown in part, does not support his presumptions. But we do need to read the whole treaty before being certain.
