Maybe it only gets serviced like once a month or something? Or people are being overcharged for health care so there are large withdrawals taken from it, or the damn cafeteria food is just too expensive!

Spending 2 months going to the hospital every day, you quickly realize that the food costs as much as going to a restaurant. It was at least pretty good.

The Franklin Mint FCU is owned by the Franklin Mint. Most places you see their ATMs are companies that pay their employees with Direct Deposit. You get an account when you get hired. So I would suppose they keep a large amount in it so people can make large withdraws on pay day.

One of the last three times I was in the emergency room there the bill was over $5000(Just the Hospital). But the ER charge is only $500 if they don't do anything. Doctors and other services like X-rays, etc. are charged separately by their groups. You usually end up with 3 to 5 bills by the time it's over. Anymore the hospitals here belong to groups so its hard to tell which hospitals to avoid anymore.

No, Phillys populations about 50/50 to 40/60. Of course since civil rights laws kicked in most neighborhood ar at least salt and pepper to some degree. When I grew up my town was totally white. If a black person was come into the neighborhood, the cops would stop them even if they were just walking down the street. Of course that's changed now. Some of my best neighbors are black and asian.

I agree with MJ, that seems like a shitload of money to have in an ATM. They must have known that ATM had a lot in it, maybe a semi-inside job.

Someone in OC drove into an ATM into a parking lot to push it out of the concrete and attached a chain to it an hauled it away in less than 10 minutes. Well played.

Yeah, they had to know the proper way to move it, the day it was serviced and the security in place on the machine. Having worked with security equipment I would have thought they would have a supervisory circuit that would have notified a surveillance company if the machine lost port, machine had been tampered with or supervisory circuit cut. They said they didn't get a signal because the power was cut. That's a big no-no when you design a surveillance system. That's what batteries are for.

note: My last job i had (which I was disabled from) was specialized in Fire suppression but we also did Fire Alarms, Burglar alarms, annunciation and Closed circuit TV.
