In July 2009, the title track, “Liebe ist für alle da”, leaked onto the internet, along with various promotional materials.
As of August 14, 2009, pictures taken throughout the recording of the album are available on Rammstein’s official website. That same month, the name “Freud und Leid” appreared on several websites as the album title, but this was denied by Richard Z. Kruspe.
Eight song titles were confirmed on August 13, 2009. As of August 19, eleven titles have been reported.
Richard Z. Kruspe stated that “B********” does not stand for “Bastard”, but for “Bückstabü”, a word made up by the band to mean whatever you want. Kruspe confirms this in the Metal Hammer podcast.[5]
The album’s first single is “Pussy”, with “Rammlied” as its B-side, released on September 18, 2009, in the European Union, and September 19, 2009, in the United States. A video has been shot.
In a recent interview, Paul H. Landers stated that tracks which did not make it on the album will appear as B-sides on singles and there will be a special edition of the album with five bonus tracks. He also said that the second single of the album would most likely be “Ich tu dir Weh”
