i cant cook but my mom can this is a dessert that my mom makes and her recepie was published in a national refunding magazine last month so i decided to share. its a lot like the ones from tastycake and its real good:
here is a great desert that's easy to make, and everyone loves it. Tandy-Take Cake: Beat till creamy: 4 eggs, 2 cups sugar, l teasp. vanilla. Add: 2 cups flour, l teasp. baking powder. Scald and add to mixture: l cup milk plus 2 tblsp. butter. Bake at 350 for 20 mins. in a 16"x10"x1" greased and floured baking pan (cookie sheet) When done, immediately spread with l&1/4 cup peanut butter - let set until cool. Melt an 8 oz. bar of chocolate in top of double boiler. Spread on a cool cake. (Be sure peanut butter is set.) Let stand in refrigerator until chocolate is hard. When ready to serve, remove from refrigerator, and let stand for 15 minutes at room temperature. (chocolate will crack when cold). This makes quite a bit, as you cut it in the piece size you want. All the parties I go to request it, when I ask what can I bring.
