Anyone else have one of these little deals? It doubled as a belt buckle and that's how it was sold to me :)

Aluminum, steel, or copper?

Brass. Got them in my last mexico trip. Dude wanted 20 bucks, so I gave him 5. :dunno:

That's what I was looking for... brass, not copper.

But yeah... I've seen aluminum "novelty" ones, and even people stupid enough to think that they'd be any use in a fight! (too light, and too likely to break and end up stabbing your hand)

:werd: they had stainless steel ones too. not bad.

Personally... If I want a punch backup, I'd want a Gunting (http://knifedealer.net/spyderco/Gunting.shtml). Functional yakiwara stick, plus a bitchin knife!

Less surface area. I want to knock people's teeth out, not just break a few of them.

Yakiwara sticks aren't so much for brute-forcing, they're more for targeted application of force to pressure points.

I see. Well, if it works for you and you know of these martial arts, I say do it. The jawbreaker is for us sloppy people that just brawl.

I have two that I got when I was much younger, they are brass and have been used before. The boot knife and the belt derringer is the best for the best.

Heh, I wish I fully knew how to apply a yakiwara stick. The reason I'm so impressed with the Gunting is because not only is it a bitchin knife, it's also a non-bladed weapon when closed.
