anybody got any great ideas or stories.
Ive got one story. Me and some friends made a black powder potato cannon. unfortanly it didnt end so great. we were shooting some potatos mostly straight up in the air just b/c we liked the huge BOOM. Anyways we started see how far we could shoot one. So we tilted the cannon at a 45 degree angle inside of a old shitty speaker box. we put two bags of concrete behind it so it wouldnt move. (WRONG) my buddie lit it and when he did, it knocked the cannon over, so now its laying bascially horizontal to the ground. well as you can guess the gun went off. It shoots through the speaker box then through two bags of concrete, goes underground then comes out and smashs the side of my truck leaving a gaping hole were it hit. That was alot of fun explaining to the parental unit. :bart:

made a potato gun last year maybe 2 years ago. i made several ones actuly i had a 6" and 4" wide chamber that had a .5, 1, 2, and 4 inch barrel that screwed on and off so i could change strength and caliber. we fired everything from arrows to cans to potatos you name it if it was under 4" we prolly thought of it.

i had the 6" chamber with the .5 inch barrel shooting arrows and it exploded in my chest. i was wearing lots of clothes cuz it was winter but it knocked out my hearing for a few weeks and flew pretty far. people said they could hear the explosion a mile or so away.

one of the more fun things to do was get the i think 1" barrel and put rocket engines in it. if you soaked it in gas or put a fuse on it when it got just about to altitude it would fire randomly. only got 2 of 4 to fire but it was real fun. i shot an arrow 50 feet through a 2x8 cracking it in half and pushing the tip back like 4 inches in to the arrow so it splintered the carbon fiber.

i just made a pneumatic one yesterday with a 3/4 inch barrel for paint balls and 1/2 inch barrel for arrows. we have skunks under our shed so im waiting i made an extended 9 foot barrel so i can get real close with the tip and still be far away to skewer it. i only used like a small air chamber and filled it with 50-100 lbs of air whatever is in the air tank at the time that i fill it and it has a great punch to it. i put it through a 1 inch peace of wood.

I knew someone who had one with a barrel the perfect size for a golf ball. Those fuckers really launch. :eek3:

wouldnt be really hard to do just fint the right size pipe and add some wadding. the key for objects that dont really fit tight is the wadding. i usually use paper towel or tissues put that behind the object and youll get way more oomph from it. ive done small superballs but the rubber on them gets tacky and hits the sides so it just kind of spurts out not very far.
