I want to join a flight rewards program...I have a few I can choose from and was wondering if any of you have any idea which is the best and which I should join...I can join the following:
-Aeroplan
-Mileage Plan
-America West Flightfund
-American Airlines AAdvantage
-Continental Airlines One Pass
-Delta Skymiles
-NWA WorldPerks
-Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards
-United Mileage Plus
-US Airways Dividend Miles

I am in the military and I do some traveling for exersizes and training...so I figured I would take advantage of the flights and hotel stays..I recently got back from Las Vegas and I flew there using American Airlines would it be possible to redeem anything from these flights if I were to sign up with them...I also would like to fly internationally some, but would probably fly withing the US mostly...so what do you guys and gals think...i don't know much about how this stuff works so any insight would be very helpful...

I've been using AAdvantage for the last several years and am pretty happy with it. I'm platinum, so I get pretty good ass kissing, premium security line, upgrades, all that cool stuff. Definitely pick an airline and stick with it. I would go with an international carrier, American, United, etc. Build your miles on domestic tickets and then redeem the miles for international travel. One thing to consider is where you live (though being military, that can change) and pick an airline with a strong presence out of the nearest airport to you. Not sure if I'd pick Delta right now, there finanacial prospecta are a bit bleak at the moment and there's no point having a bunch of miles on a carrier that goes belly up.
