first cook the sausage then poor on open pit bar-b-q sause over and cook uncovered till the sause gets thick. let cool down before eating let cool. then put in a hogie bun and poor the cooked open pit on top.
It was one of the only things my ex-wife loved about me was my resipys

Sounds like a thing I make called "Nana's surprise" (my grandma always made it for me when I was little)

Cook up Italian sausage with onions and green peppers (although if you would like more color, you can use orange, yellow, and red :happycow: ) and after it's cooked fully, add Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory smoked BBQ sauce... simmer for a bit and serve on Kaiser rolls/hoagies/bread/whatever.

Delicious, quick, and reminds me of my Nana... I love it!! :rock:
