dont laugh. this cake is teh AWESOMEST :yumyum:

Its a summer type cake. so its gotta stay COOL!

ingr:

white/yellow cake

bananas

banana pudding

strawberry soda

whip cream

bake the cake. in a sheet pan ( long pan, you know.. no circles.. )

poke holes in the cake after it cools justa bit.

pour a can of strawberry soda onto the cake. yes, the whole friggin can.
try to get the soda in the holes you poked.. let that soak in for a few.

while thats soaking, make your banana pudding.. as that begins to set, pour it ontop of the cake. spread evenly of course.

while thats setting up start chopping your bananas into lil slices.

cover the entire cake with the banana slices.. yes.. its alot of bananas..
press them into the pudding, or leave them sit on top..

cover the entire cake with coolwhip and put in the fridge to set up overnight if possible. ( the coolwhip over the pudding can get tricky. take your time )

the ONLY people who dont like this cake.. are those who dont like bananas.. :fawkd:

and thats a family reciepe.. :wiggle:

When I was in Basic Training for the Army, we used to take cornbread and pour sugar and choc. milk on it to make cake. Kinda like a ghetto version of this.

this is a much better cake:

Coca-Cola Cake & Frosting
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1-1/3 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup buttermilk
2/3 cup Coca-Cola
1 egg
2 egg yolks
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
Into a large electric mixer bowl, sift together the sifted flour, baking soda, salt, sugar and cocoa. At low speed, add the shortening, buttermilk and Coca-Cola, and mix for 2 minutes, scraping sides of bowl as needed.

Add the egg and egg yolks, and continue to beat for 2 minutes.

Pour batter into prepared cake pans. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool and frost with Coca-Cola Frosting or frosting of your choice.

Coca-Cola Frosting:
2 egg whites
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup light Karo syrup
1/3 cup Coca-Cola
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
Combine all ingredients in top of double boiler. Cook over rapidly boiling water, beating continuously with a portable elctric mixer, until mixture stands in peaks. Remove from heat, and continue beating until thick enough for spreading.
