anyone know of anything to do in the city's I'll be visiting?? Any WebRatters close by?? Maybe meet up and get a beer? Know where a great place to hang out may be or where a great steak or BBQ can be had? Here's where I'll be:
Sacramento, CA (2/8-9)
Jackson, MS (2/9-14 and 2/22-28)
St. Louis, MO (3/12-15)
Philadelphia, PA (3/22-26; 3/28-04/02; and 4/07-12)
Scotts Bluff, NE (4/20-22)
I was gonna try to meet up with jrmcg in February, but the course I was gonna teach at the public safety academy was cancelled. jrmcg, I'll try to find something in middle GA sometime down the road!

God bless you, and your English degree.

I train emergency responders (firefighters, cops, EMS, nurses) and write/review/evaluate emergency operations plans for governments. Sometimes, I get to do similar work for the military. Awhile back, I started doing this full time. Before, I did this for side money.

I just got the call about the cancellation today. That's probably the first time in ten years the course didn't meet the state registration requirement. Have a beer for me!

Sounds good. I'll see if I can find a good place and limit the travel you may have to do. As my travel date gets closer, I'll PM you and see if things will still work.

Nah, St. Louis is just a hop, skip, and a hump away from Jackson anyway. Hour and a half drive tops.
Just remind me not to drink too much so I can get home :D

Meh, if he seems like the kind of guy who won't molest me in my sleep I might consider it if he offered. >_>; but if he gives off the creep-vibe. . . well, there's a variety of things in my purse for such occasions.

Fat Tire, Harp, or Yuengling.

I like Sacramento. There's a cool Hard Rock downtown. Also, it's a great place to use a base of operations. San Fran and Berkeley aren't too far west. Heading to Lake Tahoe is a great drive. Usually, I'm there Labor Day weekend and a few days after. The State Fair is fun and the closing night fireworks show is pretty good. I usually stay at the Courtyard or Residence Inn about a mile down from the main entrance.

That sounds like a heck of a road trip. Anything in the middle? May save you some drive time.

Those guys prolly drink PBR or Budweiser. I like the drink. If it's available draft, give one a try.
