Old school mediveal cross bows are extremly hard to find and banned in a lot of places. well so ive been told, but u can easily find some of the high tech ones in hunting stores for example. I myself would prefere a long bow over an xbow tho.

I think they have them at Big 5 stores, but I am not sure how much they cost.

id like to buy one of the "toy" ones that have like an 80 lb pull on them. they seem like they would be good to goof around with without really having the expense/ danger of a full size one

Always check your local pawn shop a lot of times they will have those types of things and they are usually found at a great price if not talk em down.

i ordered one of the 80 lb pull ones online the other day when i get it ill take pix and post about it. it was on sale for 20$ with 4 bolts and an extra string. it didnt say how much shipping was but it was ups ground so it shouldnt be too bad

If i had the money id buy a Quad 400 (about $600),it can do 335 fps. Lethal. The Commandos a nice little 50ibs piece, about $70 - $100 i think.

335 fps!? Good lord, that would go through your target and not even leave the cool little fletching sticking out. No fun, nah sounds badass to me. Now I want one.

You should try a compound bow instead of a crossbow. Here in Texas, you can't use crossbow's to hunt with unless your Doctor says you have a disability. A compound bow can shot almost as fast as a crossbow. I have two compound bows and I enjoy them very much.

ya but i think thats the whole point. a crossbow is kinda like a bow and gun hybrid. its got the silentness and perks of a bow but the trigger and aiming of a gun. plus you dont have to be as much of an archer. bows take a lot of skill and muscles crossbows are less intensive like a gun. load aim fire.
