me and my woman have trying to have a baby for a long time. shes had symptoms for a few weeks, but we never bought a test. then one day, we finally buy one. its positive. we buy another. positive again. she goes to the doctor and they tell her she is 2 months pregnant. a couple days she later, she starts having pains. she goes back to the doctor and they tell her that her cervix is open and a miscarriage is inevitable. the next day, the baby is dead. what i dont get is how she can go 2 months without knowing she is pregnant and everything be fine. then 2 days after we find out, the baby dies.
There's a possibility she didn't know she was pregnant if her menstrual cycle is irregular. If she's not on the average 28 day cycle, she may not really have a clue as to when she will have her period. If you're planning a baby, the 28 day cycle is critical, as this will allow the two of you to predict when she will ovulate.
Spending twenty years on an ambulance, I had several patients that experienced miscarraiges. Some of those women had experienced multiple miscarriages. I don't think doctors know exactly why this happens, but something to remember is a developing fetus is considered a foreign object in the mothers body. During pregnancy, her immune system becomes suppressed so the fetus isn't rejected.
Dealing with a miscarriage can be difficult. I hope the two of you offer lots of support to the other. Tears and talking will be a tremendous help in dealing with your loss. Also, before trying again for a baby, she should talk with her doctor and see if the doctor can help identify anything that contributed to the miscarriage and can be avoided during ya'lls next attempt.
Good luck!

There's women who go longer than that without realizin it, bro. Irregular periods, spotting/bleeding through pregnancies, etc.
