My daughter just started too. I played a little about 40 years ago but I played 5 finger technic. You might use google to check some of the sites out there. Not sure if we have a particular place for guitar. There are some players here that post on both though.

you said you used to play. whyd you stop? i know ill get frustrated, being a beginner, when i feel like i cant learn anything new or i dont seem to be getting better. so ill stop for a month or so. but then ill see someone else play or hear a certain song and its like the spark is re-ignited. you cant pull me away from my guitar.
