How to Connect Your Wii to the Internet

Anyone struggling with connecting their Nintendo Wii to the internet for gaming, web browsing, or downloading Virtual Console games? I've written a step by step guide complete with pictures to help you out:

this is off topic, but hey its webrats:

sometimes, when my Wii is turned off and there is no disc in the drive, the drive slot will glow blue. I can understand the glow when there is a disc in the drive, but even when there isn't one? And only sometimes? Why is that? Just a weird anomaly?

It glows blue when you receive a new message/announcement from Nintendo. Check your messages (the envelope icon at the bottom right of the Wii screen) and it should go away.

It's just their funky way of getting you to turn your Wii back on ;)
