I was watching House Hunters* and this dude had such a boner for this property that was on a golf course.
I've never understood the appeal. You'd have strangers tramping through your back yard all the time.
Why is living on a golf course considered a good thing?
*for those who are not big homos, House Hunters is a show on HGTV where people look at three different houses and then pick one to move in to.

My Folks have a place the backs to a Golf Course, but there is a Water trap and out of bounds between the house and the course.
No one live behind them
It is quiet, even on Weekends
I lived in a apt growing up and had a driving range along the back, had a fence around it at night we would go grab up balls and sell them back too the golf pro who owned it.He would pay us 25 cents a ball if they were in good shape.
I have a step-sister, a cousin, and an uncle that live in neighborhoods on golf courses. All of them are avid golfers and are members of the clubs they live on. When they want to play, they zip through the backyard and head for the nearest tee box.

I once had an apartment that was on a golf course. I'm not a golfer and didn't belong to the club so I didn't see any benefit.
Actually that's a lie. The chick who drove the beer cart would sell us beer and snacks if we whistled her over. I have to admit, that was pretty helpful when we were hammered on a saturday afternoon and couldn't drive.

My grandparents lived on the 18th hole of Virginia Country Club in Long Beach.
Growing up, I did Junior Golf at the club and the driving range was right at the dog leg left on the 18th hole. So we could walk down and hit balls whenever.
Holidays were killer. Christmas, we could run all over the backyard and into the golf course. Had great football games. 4th of July VCC always had the best firework show and even though they were illegal in the city, we would light off a shitload of fireworks in the backyard and golf course.
If anyone is interested, the place is on the market and my wife is listing it.
We could use the commission

My folks house is not on a major road, but a Cul-de-sac.
Very quiet.
