Lol it's a fresh copy of windows so it's ok. Not sure if there can be more than one connection at a time though

Well I VNC'd into it, but the connection seems very slow. I'll run some tests on it and see what I can do.

So I ran a speed test, and it came out to be about 3008/800 from PC Pitstop. Looks like others ran some from Speedtest.net and SpeakEasy. Someone that was logged in I noticed tweaked his Recieve Buffer Window so it seems a bit faster now.

Ran HeavyLoad on the system to put some load on it. Might help.
I know there are other progams that will stress test the machine... but it is a Dell.

So, if we access his PC, can he in turn then access ours? :dunno:

You would be controlling his PC via a VNC Client. He wouldn't be able to access your files/pc. The only way that would be possible is if you gave him permission and you had setup the VNC Server program on your side.

he is correct. only thing is he has your ip address. but as long as you have a good firewall you are fine.

I assure you i'm not upto anything dodgy just testing out portwarding works and seeing how good my connections is.. It's pretty much a blank set up of windows so now damage can be done
