I'm trying to video chat with my son. I'm in SC and he's in MI with his mom. I'm using google mail and the video chat option within google mail. I have a webcam built into my dell laptop. His mother doesn't have a webcam in her laptop but did purchase a Logitech camera.

My son can see me but I cannot see him. The audio portion is perfect and works great. What is the problem? Why can't I see my boy??

I can't figure this out to save my life. Help!!

If he has a similar camera as mine you could try walking him thru the setup.

Open Logitech software and turn on webcam

If a screen shade is on, turn it off

Don't forget to open the physical shade if it has one

Check the Video Calling Applications and make sure Gmail has been downloaded

Launch Gmail and click on settings then click the tab for Chat
check and make sure the hardware swettings are correct.

If everything is right, he should see himself were my shade screen is showing.

If everything tested right(video, mic, & sound), he should be seen when connected to you. If you still have a problem, it may be on your end.
