We seriously need more website like this! Shit that gives the pure unbiased truth (eat your hearts out Fox and CNN).

Top All-Time Donors 1989-2008 Summary | OpenSecrets (http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/list.php?order=A)

Anyway, with ATT being on the top of the list, it confirms to me why they are able to get away with all the shit they do and as the darn-most evilest corporation in the world.

I am surprised that UPS (that's right, the delivery company) is number 21 on the list, anyone want to take a crack at why?

Also, I think I know why Lehman was allowed to fail: Citi, BoFA, Morgan Stanley, Goldman, AIG and Chase are all on this list, but not Lehman. Coincidence? Possibly, but it damn well looks fishy.

Anyway, yes, we seriously need more websites like this.... pure unadulterated facts. I think it'd be interesting to watch your representative speak with a list of this in hand.

Also, this may be a bit of a philosophical question. But WTF is up with giving money to either political party to further your cause? Doesn't this amount to bribery and how the hell does that further one's cause? Does giving X dollars guarantee something will happen for you? What does that mean about how effective one's vote is....shouldn't that be the only thing that matters? Wow, I just lost complete faith in my political system.... :ughdance:

It's not bribery, that's illegal. Giving contributions to a candidate is not. Notice how the contributing corporation always says they don't ask for favors, etc.

The difference between legal and illegal is how the language is written or interpreted. I don't like seeing large amounts of cash going to candidates.

Ahh, you got me there. Good point.

Yah, I mean, come to think of it, the telephone is a pretty vital communications asset and in the early 20th century, it would make sense to leave it monopolized...

but anyway, yah, I just mostly 'hate' (I guess I don't actually hate anything too much) the company because of the exorbitant fucking of the people's ass they were charging for use of the phone in the 1960s and I love the beginnings of hackers (in a way) who developed those blue boxes that allowed them to make phone calls for free. It's just seems to me that they are back to their old practice nowadays.

So yah, I guess it comes down to the fact that I would like to have an Iphone (yah, I guess that makes me a tool :clemson:), but the contract's price is just excessive and is something that I will absolutely not pay for in my humble opinion.

So, what makes at&t so Evil?

I bet you do not know what at&t stands for!
