Hi, I'n new to WR and had a question.

I changed service from Dish to Directv and there is nothing wrong with the old dish recevier. I accedently cut the cable going to the dish. I didn't know it after Dish Network couldn't help me get it working again. (It was found in the installation of the Directv one.)

What in the world can I do with it?? Its just taking up space and gathering dust.

There is also a Uniden C-band receiver and dish still here. The dish motorized arm stripped and the system was replaced with the smaller dish. Can it be repaired and is it worth it. When it was working a lot of channels were going digital.

Now lets see if there is anyone here....

dishes usualy are the cheaper on any setup..

if you want to use the uniden c band... i would reccomend to get maybe a toroidal dish system... smaller that the old c and k bands dishes, but big enough to hold 4 to 15 lnb's at the same time... pm and i send you the link if intersted... toroidal 90 (holds up to 15 lnbs) costs around 300 dlls with 4 lnbs , but you can get more lnbs for 15 to 25 dlls each.. depending of satelite system to get foscused on

the other choice if you still have the big dish,,, is to get the motorized arm... should cost around 125 to 150 in ebay...
