You need to know the box keys to the reciever you are trying to use. There are two ways to go about this, the first one is to jtag the reciever, the second way is to read the card that came with the reciever. A jtag will enable you to interface to the ird with your pc. To install a jtag to the reciever requires a little homework on your part. You said that the reciever came with a yellow card, there is no present way to access these card to retrieve the box keys. The new box keys will need to be written to the blue card.

one word...jtag...
a second word ebay ...
a third word careful ....
not as complivated as it sounds.... just need a correct jtag... a friend of a friend of my sister told me that there is a kit on sale in ebay, very easy to use... but not sure... never investigated that... i do not even have tv...

almost forgot... there is a website that let you use a hu programer with a d!s4 network setup... this "program" read the keys and unmarry the cards, then marry the new card to ird... this was told to me by the boyfriend of a cousin of a coworker

That is a new one on me..
You can mod old unloopers to glitch into locked cards now...Very cool... :)

one guy that was living with my nieces friend told me that hu programmer using the als4(sp?) codec was easy to read and write d!s4 cards... worked fine but the problem is that it uses propietary software and as far as he knows there is no free files for that program

Some IRD's have a opening on the bottom of the unit and if you look inside you will see 6 contacts that a J-Tag is connected to. With the right softwear program via a computer you can get the box keys. Note, not all IRD's have this connection. You will need a blue card and a ISO programmer to program the blue card with the keys and a program for the latest data stream. No code for the yellow card at this time.
If this is all greek to you, you will need a lot of reading to make it work.
