View Full Version : How the Heck Did They Do This?

Hi Computer Gurus:

I downloaded an archive file from a forum (probably elsewhere on this one) containing JPGs of Joanne Guest :coold: and unzipped it to a folder - "Joanne Guest" - on my harddrive. Windows Explorer (WinXP) has the "Folders" button turned on so I see the folders in the left frame and their contents in the right frame. I usually have "View" set to "Details", but in this case it makes no difference what it's set to. The file names (or thumbs) usually appear over a white background, but when I highlight the "Joanne Guest" folder in the left frame the file names appear in the right frame over a large picture of Joanne from that group of files. Actually, the picture is not as large as the right frame so it appears four times to fill the space.

I have looked at every setting for "Properties" for that folder and see nothing that would cause that pic to appear as a background. This is the only folder that does this and the first time I have ever seen this done. Can anyone tell me how that was done, how to turn it off (the file names appear in yellow instead of the usual black font and are hard to read over these pics) and how to set it to do that if I want it to appear that way on other folders?

Thanks in advance.

Check under view and see if filmstrip is checked. This puts a large picture at the top of right side above the thumb nails. There are arrows below it to go thru your pictures and a set to rotate the image. It might not be what your talking about but it's the only thing I can come up with.
