I am looking at a getting a multi-room system shortly (probably 4 rooms).

When I surf the Dish Network web site, they are recommending a multiple output receiver (2 rooms, 1 receiver).

Any problems I should be aware of?

A friend of mine has this system, and he seems to like it. The second remote, as you may have read, uses RF instead of IR, so it doen't have to be pointed at the reciever. The reciever knows which remote is used, so it knows which output to use. They both record to the same dvr, and all dvr recordings can be viewed in either room I beilieve. I'm actually considering going to dish, over cable. Looking at a 3 room installation, 1 reciever in my room, and a reciever in the living room, linked to the second bedroom. Let me know of your experience, so I can decide what to do.

I went ahead and got one, signed up about 2 weeks ago. As far as I'm concerned they work great. I've got a DishDVR 522. I can record on both inputs and watch 2 dvr events at the same time. Record on one tv, watch dvr event on the same tv, and on other tv, watch live tv, or watch a dvr event. The only thing I don't like, and this is the same for the single tuner reciever I have, you can't record, and watch live tv at the same time. All in all, I think it's pretty good.

Any more questions??
I'll do my best.
