Ever heard of Pips or Pureinvestor.com?

My boss at work was telling me about this program run by pureinvestor.com that is a Private Investment Profit System (PIPS). It sounds kinda like a mutual fund, except for the fact that they all but guarantee a 2% daily return. There's an initial investment of $450, or $170/month for 3 months. After this, the return on investment is supposed to be enough to cover this amount, which is automatically reinvested. I think you can opt to recieve your returns, or reinvest them. Three things sent up red flags for me. They mention quite abit about referalls, although, they say they are not necessary, but helpfull. If I understand correctly, you get ten dollars a month from the referal. Second, they are big on wire transfers, but don't like, I think you can, using credit cards. No checks, things like that. They have a thing called PicPay, similar to paypal. Higher fees though, and if you use a wire transfer, you have to fax a copy of the reciept to country code +6. And all your funds are deposited in an offshore account. Third, I did finally see, that the whole thing is setup in Malasyia.

It all seems like a pyramid scheme, or MLM, but from what I've read, it's not. I've checked the BBB, found nothing, considering they are out of the country. Did a MSN search, and found one bad page about a group associated with them, but not actually them. I checked thier forums, and there are tons of members, all, or at least the ones I read, with good things to say about the program. I've done everything I can to discredit, and find a reason not to invest, but I've not been able to. I'm still apprehinsive about doing something like this, since it seems too good to be true. If anyone out there has tried this, I'd like to hear of your experiences.

i did some reading in other forums ... not in the ones that you posted... while they did not disccused the details of the program ... most of them were talking good thinhs about the invstment... it looks like one of the strong points is customer service...

the only negative issue i saw came from old postings regarding problems with their servers and payment with e-gold

That's why I'm scared to invest. $450 isn't a lot for most people, but it's a week and a half work for me. And with as good as it sounds, it hard to believe it's true. If it is true, it would be a great investment, and as best as I can figure, it's tax free, since it's all off shore. My boss was saying that he expects to take out $20,000 in 13 months, with only $1600 invested. After what I read, I'm starting to seriously think about it. I'll post more as I go on, and will also do more research before I do anything.

its a ponzi scheme, the oldest users get paid off by new members that join... in theory it could work if they continually gain new people, but these things only last a year or two at most. the CEO has gotten rich off of many other pyramid schemes and what not. I'd suggest you let your boss know to try and take his money out before it all dries up.

also if you gained 2% per day, you could theoretically be the richest person in the world in like ten years... which is impossible. They claim to invest in stocks, real estate, forex, etc... The BEST almost guaranteed percentages you can gain are from hedge funds which are 10-20% per year and they are still volitale. To gain 2% each DAY would mean they have the best investors in the world who are completely anonymous, which is unlikely.

Another idicator of the scheme is the site. Thier servers are slow as hell and can go down WEEKS at a time. A 750 million would not allow this.

But, on the other hand, people do actually make money on these schemes, but not for a long term. Eventually it will get harder and harder to withdraw moneys from your account. So if you do go this route, I would suggest to get in and out as quickly as they allow.

They actually work - you are right most of the HYIP's are ponzi's I will not argue that. But there are several out there that are based on true investments. Myself and several of my friends have been investing in them for some time and the return is great.

Fusion you are wrong about Hedge's, you can actually double your money with them every 180 days. I have clients that are in the Venture Capital industry for the film industry, one of the things that they do for their investors is take their money invest it into a hedge and return their up front investment before the movie even begins filming.

You have to keep in mind that ROI structures are much stronger outside of the US do to the lack of liquid capital. Further more most of the investment opportunities that are legit have rules and regulations associated to them.

I will not argue that most are fragulent. But I have had great success from the ones that I have invested into.
