Well, does anyone have any advice for a good All-Inclusive Resort? I'm thinking Mayan Riviera, Mexico?

What experiences do you have to share?

I went to Aruba a year ago and stayed at the DIVI ARUBA which was all inclusive. When we stayed there we also had access to the hotel just down the beach called the Tamarijn. Which was great, because we could drink for free there also.

I would recommend those all inclusive hotels in Europe. For example in Turkey, you could stay in one day (all alcohol and food included) for only 70 dollars. All of the hotels there are top quality, right by the beach and sea (Mediterrean) with couple of restaurants, bars and disco and of course a pool. I would say you will find great prices.

The Barcelo Beach Resort or the Bahia Principe - Tulum. Both are located south of Playa del Carmen. I've been to both more than once and must say they are well maintained, clean, relaxing............

I have two experiences at an all-inclusive. One was a club med in Ixtapa. It was stupendous! The Other was a Jack-Tar Village in Puerto Vallarta. It was OK. The club med was entertaining, the food (pastries in particular) was incredible, the activities were great, and Mellisandra (the golf-tour host) was gorgeous and had a great little butt-waggle before she swung the club. Me and another guy would hang out behind her on every shot! I had kids with me and it was perfect for them. Good luck>

Another nice place I've stayed was the Occidental Grand Flamenco in Xcaret.
upside - It's walking distance to Xcaret Ecological Park.
downside - The beach is a manmade inlet that is too small.

It is a great place for kids.

The resort was perfect for the kids; not the butt-waggle. :duh:

Just got back from a week at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, about 30 minutes south of Cancun near Playa del Carmen. Great time, highly recommended. Although we were an adult group, the resort is well geared to cater to families with kids. Check out the review at TripAdvisor.com.
