Appreciate that you're working on the site, and probably have bigger fish to fry, but is this now permanent?

Also, regards the rep function, you can't even see the icon (if you've got fullsize preview pics in your post, like i tend to) without scrolling to the bottom of said post, thats provided users even figure out what the rep icon looks like of course.
Any chance this icon will be changed for something else, something that actually says REP might help?

If it helps at all in troubleshooting this one, when I click on the link in User CP to "show all subscribed threads" my most recently subscribed threads do show up in the list, but when I go back to the regular view (new subscribed threads) they go away again.

I have to agree on this one. Page loads are reminding me of the 56k days and that's when they load at all. More often than not, I get a message along the lines of:

"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 12582912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 619999 bytes) in /usr/home/webrats/www/forums/includes/functions.php on line 4778"

Or a "Database Error" message.

But I guess any upgrade or change will always have it's bugs that need to be ironed out. Hopefully these will be resolved soon.

I haven't actually had to log in in months. Now I have to re-login every 20 minutes, unless I want to go to the user cp, in which case it just keeps telling me I'm not logged in, and won't let me log in. awesome! -_-

Plus, I'm getting it way slower too, and I have a rather fast connection. And I just don't like the way it looks either. That's two forums in 3 days that have changed, basically making it more annoying and harder to use them.

Just look at it this way. With as many hacks/extras this board had before the upgrade it will take a bit to get it stable again. However, I have been running this version of vb for a bit and once it does chill out it will run actually better than before.

As :waldo: said before. the search engines will also slow it down a few days since they are essentially rereading every single post.

If you really want to see my or anyone's ppd, click a profile or do the math. I can only do so much here. I had a few porn threads I uploaded over my 4 day weekend and posted Tuesday get lost with the upgrade. I haven't reposted them although I have all the information. Been busy looking for bugs in the new vBulletin and posting in public and mod lounge about those. They'll all get fixed eventually. I do what I can when I can.

A little birdie sent me a tip after I had the same complaint. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, at the far right corner is the word "top". Click it and you will be brought to the top of the page you're working with and can go back to the thread tree.

I hope the thread tree will be brought back to a more convenient place; for now, the above option has tremendously helped me and my sanity!!

First was noted last month when my birthday wasn't listed. I figure if Pepsi's server can remember my happy birthday, WR's server should. I only visited Pepsi's site once and didn't pay to be there.

Since the upgrade the server refuses to allow me to play any of the Casino or share the wealth. I can't even get permission to access the Helpcenter to report it.

I ain't been as perturbed about getting permission since 1970 when the OOD on the Ticondaroga wouldn't give me permission to leave the ship because he thought my work uniform was too dirty. He finally gave his permission after I pointed out that I was from the Kitty Hawk and he was the same dumb bastard that let me and a friend on the ship with my dirty uniform. We had went there for lunch to check out the ship which was on it's last cruise before being scraped.

The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones.

I would have been going somewhere if I hadn't got off the Ticonderoga. They pulled out the next day. The Kitty hawk stayed in San Diego a month or so doing training cruises before leaving for Hawaii.

I do love ferry boats. We use to take the Chester ferry to the NJ shore when I was a small kid. I really missed it when the opened the Walt Whitman Bridge. It had it's advantages thou. The bridge passes over the OLD CROW distillery which had the greatest aroma of Bourbon you could fined.

Once when I was still working, I went out of my way to take the Millersburg Ferry.

The Millersburg Ferry Boat is the oldest transportation system in Pennsylvania. It crosses the Susquehanna River from Millersburg in Dauphin County to an adjacent landing along U.S. Routes 11 and 15 in Perry County, approximately 2 miles south of Liverpool.

yeah I just checked the tivo community board, they run vbulletin 3.6.8, and the same issue shows up there too so I guess there's not much we can do.

I have an extension in FF anyway that wraps custom & standard bbcode tags around text in my posts so I have a workaround I can live with, I just thought it was a WR-specific bug but no I guess it's a vbulletin thing. ah well you have enough real bugs to fix I guess this is a false alarm.

Another problem I've found is the Reputation pop-up window can't be moved. The only way to make it fully visible is scroll the main widow until it is fully visible.

ok, tell me how much 20 balls (was it twenty? two rows of 8 and one of 4) and a full set of squares is. see if you can tell from old posts how long after you maxed out you reset. See if you saved the total when I did reset it. check old pm's if you copied them.

alternative is I go back through your rep received, but that's a long process. at the least, I'll need a time frame of when you reset. I think mine was done august 2007, and there is a thread about it in BOTH.

personally I preferred the way we had it before; 1000 points is enough, and it doesn't get cut in half when we give negative.

Besides the balls may well come back...why not give it some time for the dust to settle before we start changing shit up? I'm just sayin....

And as far as re-setting rep - what's done is done and everyone should just build that shit up again. Hell, I've re-set my rep at least three separate times & I'm already well over 300k again. What's the big deal? Go play some casino games & forget about it.

I assumed it was a courtesy made available by admin, so non-gold contributors could read any follow up comments.
Otherwise, why even allow gold members to comment in archived threads, as we'll never get to read anything they've written?

Admin CP is really getting bad with havng to enter your password over and over.

I go to move threads to video archves. It makes me reenter password about 12 times. Finally it takes me to next screen and I get to reenter pass another 12 times. I get to the next screen and it makes me reenter it about 8 times. Finally done. Can this be fixed please?
