There is a thread here in EOTH about Guantanamo. I asked this:

what happened to all those terrorists that were supposed to go before tribunals, and subsequently be executed? Shiek Khalid Mohmammed (I think) for one..
No one has answered me. Were they already done in secret? You know Bush planned to have them before leaving office. Once out of power, he couldn't stop them from being freed, now could he? The plan was to try them, and if found guilty, then execute them.

So, I ask it here, who can research this for me, and others. what is the status on those detainees?

Why isn't the press reporting on this? If Bush had them tried and executed, that couldn't have been covered up, could it? If he left their fate up to Obama, that would go against the stance of his administration. Seems like no matter what happened the press is missing out on having a field day here.

You can probably thank the fact that we have a prison outside of the country that doesn't follow our rules, or procedures and doesn't have to account to the public. I mean look at it this way its a good thing that we can punish people without having to go through the red tape that our society set up to protect people from over zealous leaders what don't want to follow the rules that are set up to protect us from them........wait

Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) and his ass wipe buddies are in trial/tribunal purgatory. Obama asked for the tribunals to cease; the military judge (correct term?) complied with Obama's request.

What happens to them now is up in the air. You can't prosecute these persons in our regular court because of what they were subjected to and/or how information and evidence may have been obtained from them.

These guys should have been executed by now. I would recommend their bodies not be returned to their families or any country. Bury them in an unmarked grave, or better yet, bury the bodies at sea.

Sending their orange jumpsuit asses to a maximum security prison on Texas should be the easiest fix to this problem.

Or one could emulate the Romans...

Tie each butt-munch up in a sack with a rooster and dog and toss the whole kit and kaboodle into a nice deep river. Not to drown, but to be torn apart by the rooster and dog as they try to escape the sack and avoid drowning.

That would drive the ACLU nuts though...
