View Full Version : How do you work a....
blog? ( I hope this is a good place to start this thread)
I'm thinking about starting one. Also, I believe I have the site picked out.
Does anyone know how I should publicize the sum'bitch? I'd like to get some folks to stop by and read it. Another thing, what do you recommend as the minimum timeframe I should use for updating the blog? Daily? Weekly?

well there are a few places you can go to set up a blog, but we generally don't let folks promote them here.
We may let you promote it periodically since we know you, but by & large this is a bannable practice here since so many tools come here & join for that specific reason.
Also note that several blog sites are censored here as well...
You could also use the incredibly under-used journal feature here at webrats you know...
As far as when to update & all that - it is all up to you; like, do it when the mood strikes...
Thanks, BDJ. I wasn't planning on publicizing the blog here. My focus will revolve around some of the work things I do; I don't think there would be much joy in reading about emergency management, plans, facility security, and using some of the various internet based emergency incident management programs that are shopped around.
I was interested in how to handle and maintain the bastard. I have some others around the country that have said they've write some articles, etc.. Apparently, they don't mind the writing and input but don't want to have to continuously work on and maintain it.
