I've been shooting alot in the last six months. Over the last two years, I've noticed a significant increase in ammunition costs. I'm sure the costs can abe attributed to the overall increase in metals around the world.

The other day, I tried some relatively cheap Russian ammunition. In the past, I've shot some Wolf ammo from my SKS and AK; last week, I shoot some Silver Bear ammo. The cost was about $129.00 for 1,000 rounds of 9mm.

I fired all 1,000 rounds using several handguns and about 450-500 rounds through an MP5. I didn't have any misfires, stovepipes, or other problems. I'm thinking about purchasing some more.

Has anyone else used this (or similar discount) ammo? What were your results?

I have used both silver bear and wolf ammo. They both work great in all of my weapons. The only thing you have to worry about is build up from shooting the wolf ammo but if you clean on a regular basis you wont have to worry.

My weapons are cleaned upon returning from the range; buildup shouldn't be a problem. Until the last range day, I hadn't heard of Silver Bear. I want a little more info about the brand before I go out and purchase a truckload.

Thanks for your input!
