How big a pain in the arse is this VAT change?
I am losing my weekend to getting everything switched over on our IT systems. Of my employer's three IT systems, that count money, a grand total of zero handle the VAT change with anything bordering on competence. Oh yeah, they all let you change the VAT rate. But do they handle crediting of old invoices at the old rate? One does (sort of) and the other two don't. Do they require extensive manual intervention over the weekend to change correctly. Yep. Do they handle the 14 day rule for delivered goods? Nope. Are they going to fix it? One will, with a patch to be released last thing on Sunday evening, and the other two don't have a clue how. Is this going to be a disaster? Quite possibly.
So, what is everybody else finding? Share your horror stories here.
Smug bastards who use Sage and had it all sorted out on Monday afternoon need not reply. :clemson: :clemson:
