What to do with the 17 detanees?

A few months ago a judge ordered that 17 of the detainees at Gitmo should be released because there is insufficient evidence to hold them. The 17 detainees are now back in court asking not to be deported back to their home country of China. They don't want to go home to China because they are Muslim and are afraid they will arrested and tortured if sent home. So far no other country has volunteered to take them.

Should they be released into American society?

Release them in to America??? NO.

They should be released in the same country that they where captured.
If that was Afghanistan, then fly them over and send them out that way. Give them parachutes and drop them as close to the point that they where captured.
and give them 1 day's worth of Army MRE's.

Well a safe bet as to the answer is because these radical Islamic zealots who have perverted the real meaning of Islam are against everybody else.

If they weren't spending their time trying to wipe out all us infidels, i.e. everyone who doesn't share their twisted view of things, most countries wouldn't give a rat's ass about them. The U.S. et al are just REACTING to the attacks these idiots started.

The hard thing is, we, the USA defended Muslims in Yugoslavia some years back.

We freaking fought to save their asses. and their demented radical leaders want all of the Non Muslim (and even many of the Muslim sects) to DIE!

It's like the movie "Independence Day". The terrorist Muslims are just like the alien when asked if we can work out a peace .... "No peace". They want us dead and there is no negotiation. The fact that there are some Muslims who are willing to work things out keeps us from killing them all and letting God/ Allah sort it out.

No, let them cross the Mexican boarder like all the rest of the illegal immigrats. They're not US citizens or resident immigrats with a green card and there is no reason to beleive the Chinese will arrest them if they did no wrong. There are many countries that have a high Muslim population but even those don't want suspected terrorist. May be they can rent a cell at Gitmo at a reasonable monthly rate.

Somehow I highly doubt it.

They likely wouldn't have ben apprehended in the first place were they truly innocent. The fact that some twit judge says after the fact there isn't enough evidence to hold them doesn't mean a hell of a lot.

There wasn't enough evidence to convict O.J. Simpson of kiling his wife and her boyfriend either, but I'm sure most all of us here would agree he at least was involved even if he didn't do the deed himself, right?

Sure, it's POSSIBLE they're innocent. But do you really want them walking around loose after being locked up for so long by the U.S. either way? Free to do whatever they want? Enact whatever revenge they see fit for their incarceration?

These persons should be released, but not into the United States. If no other country will accept them, drop them off where they were found. Let them continue to their original location from where they were detained.

Where is the muslim brotherhood for these seventeen? There are several Islamic countries in the world; why aren't these countries vying for the right to host muslims "held captive and mistreated" by infidels??

World against the muslims? Where have you been? Haven't you studied any history books? Watched mainstream news media?? The muslims are against anyone NOT a muslim. Islam requires a dedicated muslim to wage jihad against infidels, to overthrow the infidels, and convert the infidel. If the infidels do not submit (you did know Islam means "submission"?), the infidels must die. If the infidels are not killed, the infidels can pay a submission tax to the clerics and live as third class citizens in muslim society.

There is absolutely nothing peaceful about the religion; possibly some practicing the religion, but definitely NOT the religion.
