I am still seeing Sarah Palin stories on the net. Has she had her 15 minutes or is she going to be in the public spotlight for years to come?

No I think you will see more & more of her actually; there is still a large faction of Republicans out there that liked what they saw from Palin, despite how she was portrayed by the media.

Truly I think she was more of a draw to the ticket than a detriment, but that is the topic of a whole other debate.

How many threads are you going to start?! Seriously though, I hope she continues to do whatever she does. I really hope she runs in 2012, she essentially only appeals to religious conservatives. I honestly hope that the Republican party continues business as usual, because they won't win many elections with their current philosophy. There will always be Republican strongholds (read the South), but as I've already stated, the nation is trending more and more left.

I believe she will be in the spotlight for some time. She definitely has a boost from the recent election coverage; also, many people realize how politics is played. Sometimes you get played for a boob (pun intended) and sometimes you get good coverage. It all depends on the situation the country is in.

I blame her poor portrayal on the dumbasses in the McCain campaign. Anyone with basic PR and public speaking skills knows you do not ever send a person out for an interview without an appropriate amount of coaching, critique, and practice. I hope the idiots making that decision received a swift kick in the ass.

I liked how the media about a week ago tried to sensationalize an interview she did. She had gone to a turkey farm to pardon a turkey for Thanksgiving. Afterwards she was being interviewed while in the back ground you could see a guy slaughtering turkeys for Thanksgiving. Where do you think the birds come from and how how do you think they get to the grocer's freezer?

Disagree. The politicians that the republicans keep putting up are leaning farther and farther to the left. McCain is the biggest leftist we could have put up. Going back to the right with someone like Palin will bring back conservatism to the republican party. You can't fight liberal with liberal, as evidenced by this last election. You can, however, fight liberal with fire. Remind people what conservatism is all about, not all this neo-con/mccain spend like mad, and appease the liberals shit.

Neither Bush, nor McCain come close to the conservative ideal. McCain knew that he wasn't getting the conservatives, (like me), so he put up Palin to try to swing me to vote for him. While I was already probably going to vote for his ass, I hoped that she would make a difference in the administration, so her addition made my decision more final.

Back on point, lower welfare to a safety net, give people an incentive to go out and work or get educated to be able to get a good paying job, lower taxes, less spending on shit like GM bailouts, etc. I could go on, but the point is that neither Bush, nor McCain pushed any of these ideas. Sure, Bush pushed lower taxes, but a fat lot of good that does when you're spending like my wife. Hence, deficit.

Sigh.

I'm rambling because I'm bored.

For the record, I voted for Bush. Twice. He's still better than we would have gotten from Gore or Kerry. No doubt about it. I'm not 100% convinced, however, that McCain would do a better job than Obama. Maybe a little taste of the far left is what the country needs to see how dangerous that way of thinking is? Then again, maybe we'll all be rich in a few years. Who the fuck knows. All I know is I'll be done with law school by then so I won't have to sit here and study antitrust for 16 hours a day. It's cool though, it'll all be worth it, right? Seven years of studying my ass off, this is going to pay off, right? I mean, my future income isn't going to be taxed to the point that the next kid isn't going to make the decision to go to law school, right?
