The best way to add ringtones is to use bitpim. It is a free program that has just about any phone out there. You can use bluetooth to transfer the song or you can use a usb cable. Bluetooth dongles can be purchased from newegg for $15 and come with software that can detect other bluetooth phones and even provide an easy way to transfer files.

I don't have Phone Tools either and how I add ringtones to my Razr2 is to find the .wav or mp3 that I want, then email it as an attachment to my phone. You're phone's email address should be yourphonenumber@usc.sms.com or something similar depending on your carrier.

When I get it in the form of a media text, I just save the attachment and there's my new ringtone or wallpaper. It's not quite as laborious as it sounds, and will do the trick until you manage to track down a copy of Phone Tools
