So wife and lil' daughter are participating in this community dance program and they need to take some songs (MP3) and trim them (or extract a portion sometime) and join a few of them to make a montage (with fade-ins and fade-outs)

I searched and found a few programs but they are all shareware. I need something for free :-) (yeah, yeah...I am spoilt by you guys :-))

Any help here will help me get a lot of brownie points (and then some) and lot of respect from me to whosoever helps me out.

Caught your post last night, and have just uploaded Sound Forge 9.
It should be more than upto the job, just don't be put off by how technical it might look, i used to use SF all the time, and its amazing once you've got your head around it.

I should point out that i've not used this version, but it came from a reliable source, and it doesn't seem to require any keygens to get it up n running.

If you can't get used to it, let me know, i can allways put FL Studio (Fruity Loops) or something else up for you :)

Best of luck..
