I can't help get rid of it, but I believe I saw an article about this program on a news website. If I remember correctly, the group originally sponsoring the program is based in Russia.

The guys are pulling down several million dollars each month as people purchase this fake program.

Did Stopzilla not work? It should fix your problems...

I had the same virus a couple months ago. More of an annoyance than anything, but it did piss me off to no end. I tried many different methods of removing it, but every time I thought I had gotten it I'd find it just reinstalled itself again. Finally my AVG updated a few times and removed it, and the only permanent damage I've noticed is that my computer no longer has a screen saver option.

I don't know if you've solved your problem, but in my experience of late, the best thing to clean & remove this type of infection, is a free program available here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
It has fixed every problem friends have had recently, with malware... somehow I've become Mr Fixit for everyone ;) A quick scan should do the trick, otherwise you can try a full scan (the scanner tab).
Even if you've fixed your problem, it would be well worth it, to download & do a scan, and keep it on your computer. There are also *fixes* out there, to make it a full-blown version, which includes real-time protection.
Lastly, anyone reading this, go get this program. Everyone should have it on their computer, in the event of an infection.
Hope this helps ya ;)

the xp anitvirus2009 is minor and easy to fix without having any scanners. All you have to do is go into your hard drive and go to your windows folder, system32 folder and also your program folder. There you will see and folder called xpav09 right click on it and delete it. The newer version will probably be named close to that. and come next year there will be one called 2010.
