Just now I uninstalled my older version and installed the one I linked above. Below is what I did to make it work:

1 - Install the software by executing the program: "vsoConvertXtoDVD3_setup.exe"
2 - Once the program is installed COPY the 2 files in the, "Crack" folder ("ConvertXtoDvd.exe" and "vso_hwe.dll") to the exact directory you installed Convert X to DVD into.
3 - You will get a warning message that says the 2 specific files will be Written over. That is what you want to do so go through with the copy.
4 - Execute the program and to to the top menu, "Help" >> "About". It will say, "Registered version"

Just in case anyone is interested, this is a fast program to do conversions.
But it sacrifices quality for speed.
ConvertX uses variable bit rate, and there's no way of tweaking it. If you're converting a film shot in indoors/subdued light/night, the quality will not be that good.
So, if you're converting something where you want better quality, I'd try TMPGenc XPress4, which does very nice conversions, and doesn't have that much of a learning curve. But if speed is your thing, nothing beats ConvertX.
