printer question

I have had no need to use a printer until recently. I may have made 20 to 30 pages of copy. There is a gauge that will show me how much ink I have left. After making about 10 copies today, all in black color, I see I have about 80% of my black ink left. The other 3 colors still show 100%.

What's the normal number of pages one can expect from printer ink before they soak you with refills?
