Alright people. Lets hypothetically say I hooked up with a girl one night and she pulled me inside of her before any condom was put on. How long should I wait before hitting up the health clinic for a test? Lets also hypothetically assume this happened last Thursday night.

You can take your time to get a test or you can do it right away - the damage (if any) is "hypothetically" done, so it's your call bro.

So how long have you been taking lessons from Juan regarding safe sex?

'grats on the easy hookup though - those are always nice :)

i forgot how long things take to show symptoms.. but if you have anything im sure tests would confirm or eliminate before things would show.

Nah. Nothing showing. I just don't like that feeling of "uh oh".

Funny thing is that I found out she wasn't exactly single when she asked me out for drinks one night. Otherwise, the guy who is saving up for a wedding ring to give her probably would stop looking for diamonds.

OK So the nice (hypothetical) nurse at the clinic said that there is a 3-month window after an unprotected sexual encounter where you may not test positive for something that you may have actually caught. So if I hypothetically bumped uglies with a random Peruvian and I hypothetically went to a clinic a month later, then my hypothetical test results will not have included my hypothetical encounter. All it means is I was clean 2 months before I had hypothetical sex with a hypothetical person from some hypothetical country. :)

Cliffs: You can take the test now for things that show up right away, but you need to go back 3 months later to do it again and get your proper results.

First, fuck off BDJ lol

Second, keep getting your shit checked every 2-4 months regularly regardless of rubbers or no rubbers.

Lastly, check your junk regularly on your own for changes in discharge, odor, texture etc.

You'll be okay, don't worry.

I'd wait at least 2 weeks before you bother to get tested. That's enough time for 90% of any potential nasties to show up on a test. Unfortunately it takes HIV a minimum of 3 months to show up on any of the current tests. So I'd get tested in a week or two, then again in 3 months, then once more in 6 just to be on the safe side.

let alone you contracting anything....you wouldn't want to transmit either...right!
I'd advocate sooner rather than later for your own piece of mind

as to K's "bump uglies" I have it on very good account she ain't  she's sweet everywhere else!

Hypothetically, the above folks have hit things right on the head (no pun intended). Check yourself and get checked regularly. Hell, us guys don't see a doctor enough as it is. This is a great excuse to have your doc give you a once-over, kick your tires, slam the doors, and let you know how your general health is.

See your doc, relax, and try to keep the protection a little closer for the next unexpected encounter.
