So me and my girlfriend have been dating for about a month now, we have both met each others parents and she invited me to her sisters wedding (who i have not met or met any of the other family) so far we have had no problems... till the other night. We where having sex, and we both finished, i went to the bathroom like i always do and when i came back to bed she was crying. I asked what was wrong and she told me that something reminded her of her ex and that it was emotional because she likes me and that she felt really shitty that she was thinking about him. So we talked about it and i thought we talked everything out and were ok. Well a couple days later she calls me and tells me that she feels its not a good idea for me to go to the wedding, that she feels its too early for me to meet the rest of her family, which i understand.... kinda.... so i stayed home, so last night she is texting me from the wedding rehearsal, we were just talking and i i knew she had been drinking when i get a text saying she is driving, so i called her like any concerned person would and i told her not to drive, well she said about 5 words that i couldnt understand because she was talking very quietly and i could hear voices in the background then she hung up, well i texted her to see if she was ok but i never heard anything back so i got a little worried but i didnt text or call her back. Today was the day of the wedding and i called her right after the wedding and right before the reception and didnt get an answer and havent got a call all day. We normally talk at least once a day and i just wanted to get some outside advice on what could be going on and what i should do. I plan on calling her tomorrow and i dont know what to say about the other night or if i should question her about anything. Im just very confused.
Thanks
S and J

yeah CD called this one - write it off bro, she's hooked up with the ex - but take heart in two things:

you guys were not together so long that getting over it will really be that tough for you, and

if you're only like 20, you do NOT need to be tied down to a "girlfriend" unless she is one of many.

Now is the time to be roaming the range, finishing your schooling and nailing college honeys...get your education & career going first and then deal with monogamy.

If she's still not over her ex, then there's no point in hanging around, I'd bail out.

unfortunately you may have been the intermission....the interlude...the bait to get the ex back in the hunt. If you take this seriously then it will screw with your head....so don't go there. If it's not magic and it doesn't stick then trying to patch it won't ever fix it so I agree with these other folks...cut her loose and feel good about yourself

That's your mistake right there, buddy.

You got played. Next! And this time, don't fuck it up and make it anything serious.

May be tough to set this aside, but do! Listen to what the folks here are telling you. Enjoy your time as a younger man. Date, learn, and have some fun!

Stop calling. Start looking. If she comes back, listen to the story. Do not ask if she hooked up with the ex, if she wants you she will admit it. Just call it a life lesson and go on.

word up. let her make the next move. experience tells me, she probably wont call you. if she does, try not to ask too many questions. you'll sabotage your own chances of getting back in those panties.

oh, and DON'T call yourself her boyfriend after a month, or even if she asks you back! tell her there are new rules.
