Whats up with this guy? He's the herpes of the NFL.
Once again his pre-training camp indecisiveness is dominating the fucking airwaves. I'm soo fucking sick of this annual "will he or wont he" crap i'm ready to impale myself on a fence post.
* Nice career, your in the HOF, now go away.
Even the fans of Green Bay have GOT to gettin' sick of this shit. Every year it seems his biological clock tells him it's time to be a pain in the ass. Time to dominate the news and make tough to turn on the tv or pick up the paper and not see his face plastered all over it. Now my dog has something to shit on.
Poor Aaron Rodgers. And while John Madden is probably wiping his mouth of Bretts man chowder, the rest of us are left wondering why he went through the whole weepy eyed retirement facade in the first place.
Somebody please pull a Nancy Kerrigan on his ass. Grrr
I'm going to the store to get a paper. I wont stop looking till a find a rag without his fucking mug on it. I should return in March. :usuck:

Why let it bother you unless you think the Pack will take down the Pats in the next Super Bowl if he returns?
I say he will stay retired.

Bothered?? yes. Worried?? Hell no. Heck, I love watching him force the ball into double coverage and throwing int's. I'm just sick and tired of his bullshit.

most of the "news" isn't news anyhow. Its just made up to get people talking. There were unsubstantiated reports that Favre said he contacted the Packers saying he was thinking about coming back. Favre said there was no such converstation. So im not sure how favre is being a douche.
Anyhow would i like to see him come back, sure. Would it have been better if he waited longer to make his decision, maybe, maybe not. As of right now this is Rodgers team and unless favre says he's coming back it will remain.

I am a bears fan i hate packers but you don't understand football becomes your friend, family and life you can't just break off that easy... His whole life was based on waking up early on sunday to play football man you don't have to hate so much he has the best sportsmanship i have ever seen. As a bear fan i respect him. But am very glad he is gone less of a threat.

Thank you for that. Brought a tear to my eye
:) . But he is not gone, you think he is but he's not. In fact, if Brett almighty has his way and wins his outright release after painting the Packers into this rediculous corner..he could very well end up being your QB. Wouldnt that be Great!

And now he's made it official. Favre sent a letter through his agent asking for his release. I've been a worshiper at the altar of Brett for as long as I can remember, but even I am wondering what the goddamn hell he's doing. He retired. He made noises about this in March and was offered his job back, but declined. AND NOW HE WANTS HIS RELEASE? TO GO TO ANOTHER TEAM?!?!??!?!? I guess it's time to find religion, because the Apocalypse is clearly at hand. I'm gonna go cry now.

But it does. And judging by your location if it doesn't..it should. Packer management is trying to move forward and so should you.
They know a hell of alot more about football and the future of your team then we. But I dont really care, i'm just sick as fuck of hearing his name. If he goes anywhere, I hope he becomes a Jet so we can kick his arse twice a year.

but compare eli to favre?? There is very little comparision. Favre will go down as one of the greats ever. Eli. Maybe no so much, but he still has lots of time.
Anyhow this favre fiasco is kinda rough too. Granted he shouldn't have retired then changed his mind.. And yes. as soon as he retired the management HAS to move on.. but now that he wants back, now welcome him back into the fold and let him compete for the job again. Favre only makes the Packers better. Right now i'm more ticked at Ted Thompson more than Favre changing his mind.
And yes.. the amount of media this is getting is kinda rediclous..

Is Ted Thompson the poor sap charged with the chore of flying down to 'Ole Miss in an attempt to change Brett's mind on coming to training camp? If so, he can't win. And yes, neither will the Pack in this case. Damned if they do, and damned if they dont.
*And that's why this sux major ass
BTW..it's not that he retired and changed his mind that pisses me off. It's just that he does on a yearly basis that frosts my balls.
I really dont care what he does. I just want him to go away. Just like Packers management does.
hope he gets traded, i want to see if aaron rodgers is what the packs think he is

Look, Favre has had a great career. He wanted to come back to the 'Pack, but they said he wouldn't start. Is that wrong? No, he wanted retirement, he retired. It's time to move on.
So, I'll take Favre's side for a moment. Favre then stated, "I want to play the game, and it doesn't matter where." Favre receives a call from Tampa Bay and New York (Jets). He states, "No, I don't even want to talk to them."
OK, does Favre really want to play the game?

Well, I guess he's going to be back at training camp monday.. IMO this is great! Even if he isn't the starter this team will be better with him than without. If you've followed football,or the Packers, you know Aaron Rodgers has gotten hurt each of the last 3 seasons, and he wasn't the starter. So keeping Favre around will be better because of past history of Rodgers durability.
Anyhow I'm glad. I think im going to a preseason game this year, so i will still get a chance to see Favre. (i can't afford the regular season ticket prices)

I love the Packers, but even with Rodgers track record of getting injured, I wouldn't mind him being the starting qb. That being said, with Favre returning Monday, there is no way there can be a "competition" for the job and Rodgers beat out Favre for the position. I think Rodgers could come in and the Pack could contend for a NFC championship, but with Favre as qb, I am thinking more along the lines of Superbowl.
On a side note, I am happier to hear that Ryan Grant will be ending the hold out and will be in camp next week. IMO re-signing him was more important than dealing with all this Favre shit.

I think Farve is a Selfish person. I think he will suck this year. He did NOT produce the number's last year and showed his age and slower running as well less accurate passing.

I'm not sure Favre really asked for all the media attention that his un-retirement garnered. (quick note: how do you retire when you never miss a down of football??). To me, it looks like Favre is a guy that was pushed into retirement when he didn't really want to, simply changed his mind, and the media went nuts because his last name is Favre.
I can't really blame the guy for not wanting to quit the profession that he chose at this time. If you're a businessman, or whatever and you decide to retire, you can stay out for a number of years and decide you want to throw your hat back in the ring. In football, you only get one shot. If Favre decided not to play this year, there would be no coming back, no second chance. Especially at the "old" age of 38.

Umm..what? He did retire, there is video and audio proof of such. The previous year (or years) he held the Pack hostage by not telling them what he wanted to do.
This year, the Packers took him at his word and proceeded into the future, like they wanted and expected to do. Then and only then he decided he wasn't ready to take his ball and go home yet. Waah! Good luck in Green.

I know he retired. I was making a joke about the fact that he never missed a down. And yes, Favre held the Pack hostage last year, he decided to come back, and they were an inch from the Super Bowl. This year they forced a decision, Brett made it, and now this happens when he realized he made a bad decision. The result for the Pack: remains to be seen, but I'd be willing to bet they don't make the playoffs. In my opinion, Favre is Favre. The guy has earned the right to hold a team hostage and the Pack is really going to regret picking Rogers when Favre was willing to come back.
