Used iPod help!!!!11

i recently bought an 30G video ipod from craigslist and i cant seem to get it to open and run with the itunes software i got with it

i want to add/ remove stuff with out "reformating" the ipod

i heard there are Apps or software i could use to hack/bypass the ipod and itunes or be able to transfer the music thats on it to and from my ipod without syncing it and possibly losing stuff.. possibly just using windows media instead of itunes.

hmmm...that article didnt really tell me how to get started without using itunes
good tutorial though
but i cant even get started because im not synced to itunes yet
i still need help out there

hmm sorry bout that, seemed like the first part about getting the ipod to be seen as an external HD would have helped in getting the old stuff off and copy new stuff on - I thought that was your main focus...I have a Zune & did a similar hack that lets me move files on/off it thru windows explorer... :dunno:
